Trip Overview
Kanchenjunga trekking is designed for the trekker and adventure lover who wants to trek above 5000m.
Where is kanchenjunga located?
Kanchenjunga, also spelt Kangchenjunga or Kinchinjunga, Nepali Kumbhkaran Lungur, world's third greatest mountain, having an altitude of 28,169 ft (8,586 metres). It's located in the southern Himalayas on the boundary between Sikkim country, northeastern India, and eastern Nepal, 46 miles (74 kilometres) north-northwest of Darjiling, Sikkim. The mountain is part of this Great Himalaya Range. Even the Kanchenjunga massif is in the kind of a colossal cross, the arms of that extend northwest, south, east, and west.
The location of Mt. Kanchenjunga often confuses, and we often hear people ask where is Mt. Kanchenjunga and whether it is indeed in Nepal or India. Either answer is correct, as it lies in both countries.
Kanchenjunga National Park
The National Park is shared between the 3 Nations Nepal, India, and Bhutan.
Of those 22,000 km2 covered from the playground, 14,000 km2 is located in India, 3,700 km2 in Nepal, and 4,600 km2 in Bhutan. The National park is regarded as among the main ecological sites with exceptional flora and fauna. This is because of the climate which may change significantly from tropical to chilly weather only over 100 km. Kanchenjunga is also home to over 1500 species of reptiles, mammals, amphibians, birds, and insects. As a result of this, the area has over 20 safe areas.
Why Kanchenjunga trek?
It's distant and off-the-beaten-path in Nepal. Just about 2,000 tourist climbs Kanchenjunga Compear into 30,000 tourists in Everest Base Camp Trek.
Kanchenjunga Trek is surrounded by a third party the maximum mountain on the planet, such as Kanchenjunga main. And of course, both south and north Basecamp are above 5,000m. hardly any places on this globe will have these mixtures!
Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek delivers far more side-trips than any other course, and you're able to spend over three months and venture into various areas like Ghunsa, Khambachen, Yamphuding, South and Noth Base Camp.
It's part of The Fantastic Himalayan Trail (GHT). The Kanchenjunga dip in is just one of the substantial elements of"The Great Himalayan Route' -- one long-distance walking route in the east end to the west coast of Nepal, includes a total of approximately 1,700 km biking path.
