Trip Overview

Of course, encountering the summit of Lobuche peak is really challenging which begins by following the standard route towards Everest base camp. Lobuche Peak Climbing Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival day in Kathmandu (1,300 m)
Following your arrival hour on Tribhuwan International Airport (Kathmandu), our company representatives will be waiting to welcome you warmly and for shifting towards luxury tourist standard hotel. Additionally, we attend a short meeting at head office for ordinary discussion about upcoming trek.

Day 2: Rock climbing course or sightseeing valley
After attending morning light breakfast, we march ahead towards Nagarjuna hill site to attempt dashing climb at natural rock for practicing and understanding the proper uses of ropes, harness, Ice axe, Crampons and other entire climbing gears. Beyond that, if you don’t require that basic training then you are recommended to explore and sightsee some major attractions throughout valley. Finally after monitoring some major sites, we return back to finalize essential trekking gears for upcoming trek along night will be spent at same hotel. 

Day 3: Fly to Lukla (2,642 m) and trek to Phakding (2,562 m)
Early morning after having breakfast, we will be shifted to Tribhuwan International Airport by our private vehicle to catch (30 to 35 minute) Himalayan scenic flight and fair landing at Lukla (gateway of Khumbu/Everest region). Leaving Lukla, we start our short (3 to 4 hours) trek downhill towards Sherpa settlement of Cheplung along following Dudh Koshi valley to step Phakding. Finally after reaching Phakding, accommodation and dinner will be managed at lodge.

Day 4: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)
Today soon after having breakfast, we march ahead by leaving several unique settlements, suspension bridges and lush forests behind en route to encounter official permit check point (entrance to Sagarmatha National Park). After that, continuing walk towards junction point of Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi River along attempting certain upward hike with opening view of giant Everest leads to Namche Bazaar (Largest Sherpa settlement of Everest region). Tonight’s accommodation and dinner will be hosted at lodge in Namche Bazaar.

Day 5: Namche Bazaar: (Acclimatization day)
Instantly, we are already above 3,400 m of height than sea level so before ascending additional height, today we focus upon acclimatization. We don’t trigger our trek forward but according to your desire, we will schedule a plan to explore nearby minor Sherpa settlements including Khumjung or hike up to old Sherpa village of Thame. On remaining hours, you can hang out on internet coffee shops and cafes or visit throughout museum. This night, we stay at same lodge in Namche Bazaar.

Day 6: Trek to Tengboche (3,867 m):
Leaving Namche Bazaar behind after breakfast, we follow curvy hillsides trail holding rhododendron forests, memorial stupas and Sherpa settlements, which leads us to Kyangjumg. Moving ahead, by observing numerous of snowcapped mountains and crossing suspension bridge over Dudh Koshi River enters Imja Khola valley along two hours more pull towards hilltop greets Tengboche. Few remaining hours will be totally spent by exploring Tengboche Monastery (ancient monastery of Khumbu region) and night will be spent at lodge there.

Day 7: Trek to Pheriche (3,867 m)
Today after enjoying breakfast at Tengboche, we develop our steps ahead along following the walking path designed by stone steps towards Chaturje by crossing suspension bridge at Imja River. Therefore catching the flat walking trail, we cross alpine meadow and yak heard ahead before meeting junction point of Everest three passes trail and standard Everest base camp trail. After that, continuing steady walk through standard route leads us to Pheriche pass along catching gentle downward hike passing stone walls takes to Pheriche for staying overnight.

Day 8: Pheriche: (Acclimatization day)
Honestly, this day is also separated as acclimatization day because we are nearly to the height of 4,000m from sea level. We don’t add extra elevation on our trip but we schedule to develop an hour hike towards the ridge to sight stunning views of multiple towering peaks and as well as to adopt with the thinner air. Remaining hours can be spent by examining Tokyo Medical University Clinic or by preparing muscles for the tough climb ahead. This night will also be spent at same lodge in Pheriche.

Day 9: Trek to Lobuche village (3,940 m)
Attending early morning breakfast, we initially follow valley trail which leads towards Dhughla. Therefore, we head forward catching uphill trail on a tough rocky moraine path until we reach a small pass and plateau (end of Khumbu Glacier). After that, walking down the path and continuing along the west bank of Khumbu Glacier directly takes to Lobuche. Finally after steeping Lobuche village, you can visit the Italian Pyramid Research Centre or hike through the nearby hills on remaining hours along the night will be spent at lodge in Lobuche village.

Day 10: Trek to Lobuche lower base camp (4865 m)
On tenth day after morning breakfast following the flat trail along the Lobuche Glacier with steeper and rocky steps leads towards Lobuche base camp. Wonderful views of Mt. Amadablam, Cholatse, Pokalde, Thamserku and many more other surrounding peaks are passed walking en route. Leisure hours will be spent by enjoying the surrounding views and scanning the climbing gears. The night will be spent at tented camp at lower base camp of Lobuche peak.

Day 11: Trek to Lobuche Higher base camp (5,600 m)
After having self prepared light breakfast, we engage for some moment on rechecking the entire climbing gears and clothes. Initially leaving lower base camp, we head towards high base camp by experiencing walk through rocky moraine path. However after putting step on high base camp, we engage on workouts for the next day climb and take a full rest on leisure hours. This night will be spent at tented camp at higher base camp of Lobuche peak.

Day 12: Summit day (6,119 m) and trek down to Lobuche village (3,940 m)
Today early morning, we develop our climb by taking help of ropes and other gears along following the Sherpa’s instructions carefully. Experiencing unique moments with adventurous climb leads to the top for inspecting 360° stunning view from high altitude throughout high peaks including Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Pumori and multiple other peaks surrounded to Lobuche peak. After enjoying some moments at max elevation of trek, we retrace the same path till Lobuche village and stay overnight there.

Day 13: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)
Today after having breakfast, we start our walk through rocky land by retracing the same earlier developed trail enjoying multiple landscapes, vegetations, monasteries, mini walls decorated with colorful praying flags and unique settlements. Therefore, leaving rocky land we enter Namche Bazaar (land full of greenery of Khumbu region). Finally, tonight’s accommodation and dinner will be managed at lodge in Namche Bazaar.

Day 14: Trek to Lukla (2,642 m)
After quick morning breakfast at Namche Bazaar, initially we drop down to cross the bridge at junction point of two different rivers and gentle ascend from there leads to Monjo. Further passing numerous of attractive settlements, suspension bridges, monuments and compact terraced fields along examining style of surviving en route, takes to Lukla.  Evening hours will be spent with the trekking crew members by recollecting the memories created during trek. This night will be spent at lodge in Lukla.

Day 15: Fly to Kathmandu (1,300 m)
At last moment on Khumbu region, we enjoy delicious breakfast and march forward towards Tenzing Hillary airport to board a morning scenic flight over towering Himalayas to Kathmandu. Guide takes care for all of the airport formalities and considerations along porters will be there to shift your bag and luggage to airport. After 30 to 35 minute of flight, we reach Kathmandu along private vehicle will be awaiting you to transfer there towards fine hotel. On evening hour, we host for farewell dinner at Nepalese restaurant where you can enjoy cultural and traditional dance and music with typical Nepalese edible and liquor varieties.

Day 16: Departure day
On last day of trek managing short time, you can move on forward for shopping to collect souvenir for your friends, family members and your loving ones. We help you for your necessary arrangements and pack ups along our private vehicle escorts you to the airport focusing departure schedule. Trip Includes/Exclude

Visa Information

All visitors are required to arrange a visa in order to enter Nepal. A Nepalese visa can be easily obtained upon arrival on arrival in Kathmandu at the airport or Nepalese embassy abroad. But nationals from Afghanistan, Iraq, Cameroon, Ghana, Somalia, Swaziland, Palestine, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Ethiopia and Liberia cannot secure the Nepalese Visa upon arrival. The Visa can also be secured at entry point at Nepalese borders. A valid passport for at least six months, recent digital photo (size: 1.5" x 1.5") will be required and you can obtain visas for Nepal from the Nepalese Consulate in your country or up on arrival in Kathmandu Airport. Nepalese visas cost USD 25 for 15 days and USD 40 for 30 days till date.

Official Papers

Some of the required official documents are your valid passport, 4 extra passport sized photographs (for trekking permits), travel insurance, airline tickets and luggage tags. Visas can be obtained upon entry into Nepal.

Weather Information

Weather in the mountains is pretty difficult to predict.  Nights are generally cooler and days are warm.  Months of winter (January and February) are bit colder but the days can be quite beautiful and warm if the sun is out. It snows during the month of January, February and December in Himalayan areas.

Best time to travel

Nepal offers diversified geographical regions and so as the climatic condition differs from the Himalayas to the plains. The climate varies as per the season. Nepal generally offers 4 seasons amongst which autumn and spring are the two most favorable ones for visiting Nepal. It is always wise to know about the weather and climatic condition of the place you visit. The best time to travel really depends on your destination, activities and season of travel. Our destination specialists will recommend certain travel times after learning more about your preferences. The favorable months for trekking and climbing are usually September – November, and February – April. The monsoon season is June – August.

Physical Fitness

Even though the physical fitness plays an important role in trekking you don’t have to be super athletes or a marathon runner to trek in Nepal.  Many people of good fitness for their age can complete the trek. You can prepare yourself before hand by doing some yoga which will prepare you in your breathing as you will be going to the higher altitude. Running or hiking to hills, going for a long walk will also help you. And if you live in urban area running in the stairs of a tall building will also work better in keeping you fit for trekking. All though these preparations aren’t strictly compulsory, you can do well even when the preparations you do aren’t rigorous like that of some ultra-athletic person. Do these things in moderate pace for two months or even less.  And you are set to complete any trekking to Nepal.

Travel Insurance

Doing the insurance while trekking is Nepal is not compulsory but will surely help you a lot if you do one, as it covers any comprehensive expenses possible to acquire due to medical issues or accidents. Your travel insurance must protect air ambulance, treatment charge, rescue and evacuation, product cancellation and refundable charges, flight delay and cancellations. We suggest you to bring you travel insurance certificate or send us scan copy and it must be issued from your home land. We do not arrange or sell insurance so you can find your local travel insurance for this.

Vaccination for Nepal

All travelers should consult with their physician or update on vaccination requirements before travel. (Your doctor or health-care provider will determine what you will need, depending on factors such as your health and immunization history, areas of the country you will be visiting, and planned activities) For traveling to Nepal; we recommend you to take a vaccination of Polio, Tetanus, Typhoid, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Rabies etc, it is not really must but recommended.

After we get the 20% amount we will confirm your booking and you will get the official booking and payment receipt. The final balance for the tour will be paid upon arrival in Kathmandu.

Safety Guidelines

  • Do proper research about the company that you are planning to trek with and make sure they are legally registered travel agency.
  • You should be well acquainted about the travel health and travel insurance before travelling.
  • Have idea about the climate, geography, temperature and environment of Nepal before starting your trip.
  • Using credit cards instead of cash is a wiser idea.
  • Majority of the Nepalese people are nicer but there are few scammers you will come meet on your way and need to avoid them, for example ‘holy men’ who will try to plant a tika (a red paste denoting a blessing) on your forehead demanding a payment for it on streets.
  • Be careful while buying the medicinal herbs as some may be illegal for you t take home and also be aware of duplicate products.
  • Never get yourself involve in doing drugs, trafficking and sexual relations with children as there is a strict rules for these cases and might get yourself into a big problem.
  • Take copies of your passport, visa, air ticket and trekking permits and keep them separately from the originals.
  • Prepare yourself for altitude sickness and be familiar with its symptoms so that you can follow the guidelines for safe acclimatization.
