Tips for Bungee Jumping in Nepal

Bring a companion. If you predict that you may be tempted to back out on this amazing activity, bringing a friend or a companion who will encourage you to get on with it may be a good idea! Go along with someone who is fun-loving and you can trust, to create the experience of a lifetime together. Moreover, the company of someone close can allow you to feel safer and calmer during the jump.

Do not overeat. Bungee jumping obviously involves a lot of up and down motion, high speeds or even being upside down, easily causing any leftover food in the stomach to find itself out of the body. The avoid such incidences and to keep your experience as pleasant as possible, try not to overeat before jumping or wait around an hour after any meal before the awesome free fall.

Do not overthink it. Trust the company and the jump instructor and jump. Distract yourself in the moments leading up to it to avoid unnecessary fears from overtaking. And when the moment to jump comes, even as your heart pounds, try to embrace every second of the experience.

Do not keep looking at other people jump. If you are moderately afraid of the experience, try not to spend the time waiting for your turn watching other people jump. Instead of normalising the jump, watching others may just build up the fear in you and change your mind.

Read the directions before you jump. If you happen to have any of the medical conditions mentioned in them, and should not be jumping, make sure you DO NOT do it. No amount of thrill can be worth the possible medical consequences.

Trust the instructors. They are there to ensure that you have a safe and pleasant experience with the jump and the experts know what they are talking about. Trust in the instructors would take away a portion of that uneasiness you may feel before bungee jumping.

Travel Insurance. Most bungee jumping operators do not include personal insurance in the costs when booking for bungee jumping. You can either purchase travel insurance that covers adventure sports/activities (be sure to check bungee jumping is included) or add adventure sports/activities to your travel insurance policy.
