Phulchowki Hiking is the popular hiking zone on the southern part of the valley. It is around 14km far from Kathmandu at an altitude of 2782m. We gradually hike uphill from godawari through the subtropical forest watching the birds, flora and fauna. This trek nepal offers Annapurna and Gaurishankar Himalayan ranges far in the horizon and wonderful view of the Kathmandu valley from the top.


Another popular hiking trail is Chisapani Hiking at 2375m. It is also the first stop for the famous Helambu trek route . Hikers feel so amazed walking though the forest enjoying the cultural lifestyle, flora and fauna. It offers amazing view of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Gaurshankar, Lugar range, Dorje Lakpa and Kanchanjunga.


Namobuddha which is a holy site for the Buddhist people is at altitude of 1800m. Hike starts from one and half hours drive covering 38kms lies east of Kathmandu. The actually hiking trail starts from Dhapasi crossing suspension bridge and pas through the small villages. Stupas and Shrines are the lovely to see and carry significant cultural importance. During appropriate season trail becomes interesting to pass through forest uphill towards narrow trails.


Lakuri Bhanjayang Hiking trail is 13 km up from Gwarko is popular to reach at the top of Bhanjyang. We will need strong legs to hike uphill through the forest. We will find small villages with local people accompanied by remarkable scenic spot for sunrise and mesmerizing view of Himalayan range. It is popular hiking route in Lalitpur and notable place for snowfall in mid winter. It is cheap and affordable hiking route which is worth visiting.
